Balikbayan Project
Our new Balikbayan Project meaning "Helping" in Tagalog, is a Philippines based project!
We put out 3 donation boxes for toys, books, and clothes in Dunkins around Bergen County: Bergenfield, River Vale, and Little Ferry NJ!
About the Project:
The Balikabyan Project is a community-driven initiative that aims to bring hope and connection to families in the Philippines. Rooted in the spirit of “balikbayan”—to return home—the project encourages Filipinos abroad to give back and stay connected to their heritage through acts of kindness and cultural exchange.

One of our key efforts includes collecting donations at Dunkin’s, where we gather clothes, books, toys, and other essentials for impoverished families in the Philippines. These contributions help provide comfort, learning opportunities, and joy to children and communities in need.
Beyond donations, the Balikabyan Project represents a larger mission: to bridge the gap between Filipinos overseas and their homeland, nurturing compassion, unity, and cultural pride across borders.

Together, we’re making home a little closer for everyone. 🇵ðŸ‡ðŸ’›

Results: We were able to collect several hundred pounds of donations!

Donations will be sent out at the end of October to Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines!
